Don't ask for help if you don't want it
In all fairness, it is also wise to tell those who may "want" to help that your are so very thankful, however their help is not needed :)

When is a wedding a wedding?
Is a wedding a wedding:
when the dress is bought?
when the date is set?
when the venue is reserved?
when the guests arrive?
when the photos are done?
when the bride walks down the aisle?
Honestly, the wedding is not a wedding until the officiant shows up. Until that time it is an expensive party with a wedding theme. When we show up you've got yourself a wedding!
What I find fascinating is that the officiant is the least expensive vendor, yet we are by far the most important part of the day. You don't need a dress, a limo, flowers, a venue, a photographer, a videographer, a cake or for that matter any professional except an officiant.
My wisdom; choose very carefully the person who will pronounce you husband and wife. Do not just causally choose anyone and for goodness sake do not choose someone on price. Our fee is 375 and that is only 1.9% of the average budget for a wedding...
